Elephant Drawing Video

When your students are ready to learn how to describe an elephant with a bit more realism, this might be a good lesson to try out. The shapes are all pretty elementary, but there are a few more details added that make a lot of difference. For example the back leg is larger than the front, so the hip line goes farther into the body. There are tusks on either side of the torso, and overlapping lines that demand to be erased. Likewise the two legs on the far side of the brute are only a scrap shorter than the front end, because they are a fleck further away. All those details are pretty like shooting fish in a barrel to depict, all the same add together up to a pretty realistic elephant drawing.
